Nov 20, 2008 - I had the same question and fear of losing to much in order to qualify for the surgery when that day came and so I asked my nurse practioner, she told me that the weight/bmi that was taken the day I started my 6 month program was what the insurance company will be looking at, I also called and asked my insurance company and got the same answer, so that calmed my nerves, just ASK!! I beat around the bush in fear of not hearing what I wanted to hear but in the end it worked out & it will for you!
